Thank you. What advice were you going to give me?
:iconunderkat:
I was going to say you should try using the smudge and blur abit more to gently blend one texture to another, an easy as dafe way to do this would be to duplicate the new texture layer and play that ontop of the other and gentle gradually eraser certain part of the new texture to make the transormation more natural. Hope thats of some help :)

Actually, that does help. Although video tutorials that I've found online have taught me everything I know so far, they do a poor job of explaining the reasoning behind the use of techniques; in other words, their sole purpose seems to be to demonstrate how to achieve a certain effect, not to actually increase understanding.

What would you say would be the objective, as far as improving my work? To blend the layers so there is no longer, in effect, a dividing line in the center of the face?

Thank you.

Yeah i found that with video tutorials also so best way i found was just to practise i suppose. each new drawing i do the quality seems to get better for me so its just down to practise and patience. And to your question yeah, i think practising blending the layers into one another so there is no definate line seems the best action to take at the moment to improving yourself :aww: and its no problem, glad i can be of assistance :D

Thank you for your kind words. Having seen some of your work, it is simply beautiful. I feel fortunate that someone of such skill thinks highly of my work.

I should have added this question to my forum post earlier today, but how could I improve my composition; in other words, what techniques could I use to increase the quality of my work?

Thank you again.
